A full day by air-conditioned coach to discover why Gran Canaria is called 'the miniature continent'. The route starts on the east coast, in Arucas, home to its striking neo-Gothic Church of San Juan Bautista, built from volcanic stone (entry included).
The excursion then continues to Teror, the island's Marian pilgrimage village, famous for its colourful wooden balconies and traditional Canarian atmosphere. From there the route climbs into the interior, with views of Roque Nublo, the iconic monolith that once captivated writer Miguel de Unamuno, and a stop among the almond trees of Ayacata.
The day ends in Fataga, the Valley of a Thousand Palms, before heading back to the pick-up points. The price includes a guide, coach transport, liability insurance and lunch.
