Set off from Playa de las Américas at the wheel of your own quad bike, single or double, on a 90km, 4-hour route along mountain roads through Canary pine forests. The route passes through the villages of Arona and La Escalona before reaching Vilaflor, the highest village in Spain, where there's a stop to stretch your legs.
From there, the route keeps climbing to the entrance of Teide National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with a stop at the Boca Tauce viewpoint, at 2,400 metres, next to the volcanic formations of Las Cañadas and with Mount Teide dominating the horizon.
The whole route is done in a small group with a guide, who sets the pace and explains the points of interest along the way. The price includes an approved helmet and civil liability and accident insurance; you only need a valid driving licence to ride the quad bike. Pickup available from Playa de las Américas, Costa Adeje, Los Cristianos and Golf del Sur.
